NEW TRIBE DOCUMENTARY GOOD LOOK OR BAD PRESS?

I have many issues with BRL, obviously the phife/tip conflict was way too overdone and damn near irrelevant as this "beef" doesnt even occur until after the peak of theyre musical career... i mean how important is it to know why they dont tour now , or why there isnt a sixth ATCQ LP. overall it starts to seem like a badly shot "advertisement" for a tribe reunion/ new album maybe somethin theyd have on VH1. after i saw it i tweeted @rapaport "you shouldve called this movie " why there hasnt been a sixth tribe album and whose fault it is" FYI rapaport save the drama for a "movie" like notorious , not a docu and conversely documentaries dont have to look small and shoddy to be "real" i mean dam the camera work even made the concert look small let alone with stars like de la souls and baby bam; its interview to interview to interview. This leads to another huge issue -- being that hip hop is yet to have a positive , internal and inspiring artist documentary the responsibility for a kind of big, mystical and legendary movie is called . almost able to add to the dogma of hip hop itself -- like wtf was the Universal Zulu Nation in all this, i know its supposed to be for "insiders" but being that it is the first of its kind it needs to have some rudimentary explanations of some history, the murray bertram and sample origins segments were as close as it got to that. the point is with the artist having such a solidly positive and honorable lineage and body of work making it bigger and more inspirational would have been more beneficial to the culture and making it like some kind of fukkin "tragedy" is potentially just more bad press and minimization of hip hop. which is why i agree with white on the absence of discussions of tribes real societal impact . those ideas would have helped to make the movie bigger and more meaningful. i dont want hip hop to settle for a niche docu we deserve a rockstar level of film too! finally-- why this flick had to be so deliberately even keeled member wise? just to make a bigger arguement for phifes beef? look if you deny its about q tip first and foremost its just not truthful, phife is on less than half of the first lp (which is imo strongly is the best lp) and offers little production contributions compared to tip. not to exclude anyone but it shouldve at least had more on q tips origin/path to hip hop as he is the founder and the true artist, as he said "you dont really retire if ure an artist" and on that note from a djs pov where the hell was the info on q tips transition to a dj recently , and how good and genuine he is compared to the wave of celebrity DJs? any way peace and blessings to u if u made it this far with me...
